How to maintain your speed bike motorcycle

I know many of you have , had and it will have a speed bike motorcycle. I think it is passion involved here and many of you are ridding every day a bike. But what is important beside pleasure is how to maintain your speed bike motorcycle. In this article or tutorial I will try to explain the steps you need to do in order to maintain your motorcycle in a perfect condition no matter what you have Honda , Yamaha , Kawasaki , Ducati or other. If you will follow the next steps your bike will be your friend for many years.
a)Never forgot to change the oil and the oil filter. Many bikes manuals say that you should change the oil on 8000 – 10000 KM but if you care about your motorcycle you need to change oil at 5000 KM and also the oil filter. Try to buy a good oil for your bike and not cheap ones. You will see it later how important is the oil for your engine. If you are not using your bike you should change oil at 6 months time.
b) Never forgot to lubricate you chain. Every 500 Km you need to use a special oil spray and lubricate it. If it was raining you should lubricate chain at 300 km. In case you forgot little by little chain will destroy himself. Let me explain why lubrication is so important for chain. First of all chain is made from metal rings and some rubber rings. When you ride the metal rings are flowing on rubber rings. These rubber rings needs to be lubricated in order not to break apart. It is like oil on rubber. It will go smoothly after it was lubricated.
c) If you have alarm system on your motorcycle you should disconnect the + from your battery when you are not using the bike. For example if you have a lot of work to do and you do not have time anymore to ride your bike if you forgot to disconnect the + from your battery the alarm system will eat your battery alive and it will destroy it. Its better for motorcycles not to have an alarm system but in case you want one try to buy a special motorcycle alarm and not just one that could be used on cars too.
d) In winter time never leave your battery connected. Always disconnect the battery and take it to some place warm. The bike should stay in a warm garage also covered with a special material made from plastic. You can buy this material from any bike shop. Never leave your bike I n winter time with a flat wire. It will ruin your tires.
e) Never forgot to change your air filter at 20 000 KM.
f) Change your tires when they are done. Usually they had to be changed at 20 000 km or even sooner if you are riding always in a sport style.
I hope this article was helpful for you and now you know some things about maintaining you sport bike motorcycle. Of course there are many others things that you should consider when having a bike but I think this 6 items are the most important ones. Good luck and I will be back with more articles for all of you.

Erectile Dysfunction Hits 18 Million

The associations of erectile dysfunction with diabetes and cardiovascular risk factors may serve as powerful motivators for men who need to make changes in their diet and lifestyle," says researcher Elizabeth Selvin, PhD, MPH, of the department of epidemiology at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, in Baltimore, in a news release.
ED Common Among American Men
In the study, researchers examined the prevalence of erectile dysfunction and its association with other health problems in a sample of more than 2,100 men, aged 20 and older, who took part in a nationwide survey in 2001-2002.
Researchers classified men who reported being "sometimes able" or "never able" to get and keep an erection as having erectile dysfunction.
The results showed 18.4% of men over 20 suffered from erect dysfunction.
The trouble was much more common in older men, with 70% of men 70 or over reporting erectile problems, compared with 5% of men 20 to 40.
Healthy Lifestyle May Prevent ED
Aside from show how widespread erectile dysfunction is, researchers say the results are significant because they suggest simple lifestyle changes like common exercise and eating a healthy diet may ease the problem for many men by reducing the risk of heart disease and associated conditions.
The study showed that men with heart disease risk factors, diabetes, or a sedentary lifestyle were much more likely to report erectile dysfunction than healthier, more physically active men.
For example:
* Almost 90% of men with erectile dysfunction had at least one risk factor for heart disease, such as high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, smoking, or diabetes.
* 50% of men with diabetes reported erectile dysfunction.
* Men with diabetes were three times more likely to have ED than men without diabetes, even after adjusting for other risk factors.
* Men who were physically inactive, such as those who hadn’t engaged in vigorous physical activity for at least a month, were much more likely to have ED than men who were physically active.
Researchers say the association between ED and lack of physical activity suggests lifestyle changes, especially increasing exercise levels, may be effective, drug-free ways to treat and prevent erectile dysfunction.

Guide to Buying A VW Karmann Ghia

Thanks to the drive of Wilhelm Karmann Gmbh to produce a sports bodied car upon a tried and tested chassis we can today enjoy the Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. In 1954 VW approved the plans and designs and this was quickly followed by an announcement to supply the chassis's. The European Motor Shows in 1955 saw the debut of the first models.
When buying a Karmann Ghia, the model for you depends on your circumstances. If your plans are to have a car that will be used daily or a minimum of 3 or 4 times per week, then you would probably be better with a later model as they have more powerful engines and a more modern feel to the interior. If money is no object and you are really looking for an occasional or second car then look no further than a 1950's model, the early classic is understandably the most prized and this is reflected in the prices they command. Whatever your needs and whatever model you decide to go for remember to check for corrosion, as even the later models are now over 30 years old and time will take its toll.
The best prices are undoubtedly found in private sales and online. When viewing a car if possible take someone with you who knows what to look for. Bodywork is the key factor, if you can get the very best your budget can stretch to, a single front work alone can be very costly to replace. The mechanical side of a Karmann Ghia is all VW Beetle and therefore simple to work on and learn, if possible pick up a copy of "How to Keep Your VW Alive" book by John Muir. There are plenty of VW air-cooled specialists around and most can now be found online or ask around at shows etc for recommendations.
The final consideration is your choice of coupe or cabriolet, as previously with the model year a coupe maybe the better choice as a daily driver mainly from a security viewpoint but also the coupe has slightly more room in the rear than a cabriolet with the cover up. Obviously if you're lucky enough to live in warmer climates, then the cabriolet maybe the first consideration for you. Either way as mentioned earlier when buying a karmann Ghia Type 1 try and buy the best you can afford.

GPS Comparison - How to Find the Right GPS For Your Needs

In this article, Im going to give you an overview of GPS products, what they do and about how much they run. Ill also compare several of the top models. With that information, youll be able to more easily pick the right product for you.
Just so you know, Garmin is not the only GPS manufacturer out there. The two other industry leaders are Magellan and Tom Tom. There are many other manufacturers of GPS systems besides these three. They make good products, but I guess Im a little biased toward industry leaders when it comes to electronic gadgets.
If you want to know more about Tom Toms and Magellans products, stay tuned. I write a lot about GPS devices, and Im sure Ill have overviews of their lines coming soon.
Back to Garmin.
Before we launch into a discussion of Garmin products, lets talk about what GPS receivers do, what basic features you can expect from any manufacturer, and what are the upgrades.
Basic features of any after-market, GPS system:
* Touch screen map with 2d and 3d views
* Auto-calculation of routes, fastest or shortest
* Database of Point of Interest (POIs)
* Pre-loaded with maps
Usually, you get a few more standard bells and whistles, such as digital picture viewer capability, and audiobook capability. Its all according to the manufacturer.
Main Upgrades are:
* 4.3-inch, widescreen
* Saying street names
* More maps
* Much larger database of POIs
* Bluetooth integration
* Real-time traffic and weather
* Multiple route calculation
GPS Comparison
Garmins GPS systems are priced competitively with Magellans and Tom Toms. All three of these manufacturers have base models that start around $150. With Garmin, their introductory model is the Nuvi 200, which has all the basic features I mentioned above. In comparison, the Nuvi 200 does about the same thing as the Magellan Maestro 3100 and the Tom Tom One.
If you want more bells and whistles, you can upgrade to the Garmin Nuvi 350. With the 350 you get more maps, more POIs, and real-time traffic capability. Currently the Nuvi 350 runs around $200. This would be approximately comparable to the Magellan Maestro 3250, which does essentially the same for essentially the same price.
Garmin has two popular series of automotive, after-market GPS systems, the Nuvi and the older StreetPilot. The Nuvis are sleeker than the StreetPilots. The StreetPilots, however, offer a few features that the Nuvis do not.
Garmins top of the line Nuvi is the 770, which comes with everything--maps of the United States, Canada, and Europe, real-time traffic, Bluetooth, and more. Currently the Nuvi 770 runs around $600. If you want to switch to their StreetPilot line, you can get what might be considered the most fully featured automotive GPS device on the market, the StreetPilot 7500. This baby does it all--and its going to set you back a cool $1,000. (But for the size of the screen and the features, its worth it!)
Conclusion
Im not saying you have to buy a Garmin. Magellan and Tom Tom make great GPS devices. But Garmin is the industry leader, by far!
To learn more about GPS devices, what they do and how much they cost, you need an informative website.
